We just returned from the wonderful International Rett Syndrome Foundation Scientific Meeting. A heartfelt thank you to the IRSF team, planning committee, and all the brilliant speakers for curating such an informative and impactful event.

As the planning committee expressed, “It’s not just a conference, it’s a catalyst.” The meeting was designed to foster real dialogue from molecular mechanisms to clinical endpoints, every session sparked meaningful conversations and collaborations.

A special thank you to Anavex Life Sciences for the opportunity to participate in research that led to a poster presentation…soon to be published!

Much of the research shared during the poster session played an important role in supporting Health Canada & Canadian Drug Agency (CDA) submission for Daybue from clinicians and researchers, highlighting the impact of collaboration in moving our field forward.

Equally valuable was the opportunity to meet new connections and strengthen long-standing ones. These relationships rooted in shared purpose and hope are vital to driving progress for the Rett community.

We also had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Larry and Jill, President and board member of the Rett Syndrome Angels Association in Boston. What a wonderful conversation! It’s moments like these that remind us how united and strong this global community truly is.

This event also provided a great platform for ORSA Canada to spread the word about the upcoming 10th Rett Syndrome World Congress in 2028 in Toronto, Ontario. We’re so excited to welcome the global Rett community to Canada! 💜
