Pourtant, malgr\u00e9 l&#8217;approbation f\u00e9d\u00e9rale, la plupart des Canadiens atteints du syndrome de Rett ne peuvent y avoir acc\u00e8s.  <\/span><\/div><div data-end=\"2144\" data-start=\"1903\"><div data-end=\"718\" data-start=\"130\"><div data-testid=\"description-html-content\" data-qa=\"description-content\"><div class=\"x_font-serif x_leading-[28px] x_[&amp;&gt;iframe]:aspect-video x_[&amp;&gt;iframe]:h-auto x_[&amp;&gt;iframe]:w-full x_break-words x_corgi-1ompzvj x_e1gyatne0\" data-variant=\"body\" data-underline=\"false\" data-truncate=\"false\" data-size=\"default\"><p>Aujourd&#8217;hui, seul un petit nombre de familles au Canada ont pu obtenir Daybue, souvent gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des circonstances exceptionnelles, des moyens priv\u00e9s ou des voies compassionnelles limit\u00e9es. Cela a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une profonde disparit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;\u00e9quit\u00e9 en sant\u00e9 dans notre pays. Alors que certaines personnes ont la chance d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer leur qualit\u00e9 de vie, beaucoup d&#8217;autres sont laiss\u00e9es \u00e0 faire face \u00e0 d&#8217;importants besoins m\u00e9dicaux non satisfaits.  <\/p><p>Le syndrome de Rett est un trouble rare et invalidant qui a de graves r\u00e9percussions sur les personnes et leurs familles. Cette affection se caract\u00e9rise par une progression implacable de difficult\u00e9s physiques et mentales, notamment la perte de la parole, des capacit\u00e9s motrices et de la capacit\u00e9 d&#8217;accomplir des fonctions de base. Il touche presque tous les aspects de la vie quotidienne.  <\/p><p>Des essais cliniques et des donn\u00e9es probantes r\u00e9elles ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que Daybue peut apporter des avantages importants, notamment la r\u00e9duction du fardeau de certains sympt\u00f4mes et l&#8217;am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 de vie globale. L&#8217;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une th\u00e9rapie aussi essentielle ne devrait pas \u00eatre un privil\u00e8ge, mais un droit pour tous les Canadiens atteints du syndrome de Rett. <\/p><p>Nous demandons aux autorit\u00e9s sanitaires canadiennes, aux gouvernements provinciaux et territoriaux et aux intervenants pharmaceutiques de collaborer et d&#8217;\u00e9tablir un cadre transparent et \u00e9quitable pour la distribution et le financement de Daybue \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle du Canada. Cela devrait comprendre l&#8217;\u00e9laboration d&#8217;un programme d&#8217;acc\u00e8s g\u00e9r\u00e9 qui assure la prestation rapide et abordable du traitement \u00e0 tous les patients admissibles. <\/p><p>Ce faisant, nous pouvons faire en sorte qu&#8217;aucun Canadien atteint du syndrome de Rett ne soit laiss\u00e9 pour compte, leur permettant ainsi de mener une vie plus pleine et plus engag\u00e9e.
