Marissa a re\u00e7u un diagnostic de syndrome de Rett \u00e0 l'\u00e2ge de 3 ans, confirm\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement \u00e0 l'\u00e2ge de 8 ans. Josh (son \u00ab petit grand fr\u00e8re \u00bb) est actuellement \u00e0 l'universit\u00e9 et pr\u00e9voit de se lancer dans la recherche g\u00e9n\u00e9tique. Il est facile de voir d'o\u00f9 vient son inspiration ! Elle a pris connaissance de l'association en 2002, cinq ans apr\u00e8s la naissance de sa fille Rachel et son diagnostic final de syndrome de Rett. Cynthia travaille dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9 depuis plus de 35 ans en tant qu'infirmi\u00e8re autoris\u00e9e dans divers contextes, notamment les Forces canadiennes, ainsi que comme planificatrice de syst\u00e8me et cadre dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9 en Ontario. Elle a soutenu ORSA Canada en tant que pr\u00e9sidente de chapitre si\u00e9geant au conseil d'administration et a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 le processus de demande de propositions pour les subventions du Fonds d'espoir.   &nbsp; Elle continue de travailler avec le Dr Rick Goodhew sur l'\u00e9valuation des propositions chaque ann\u00e9e depuis la mise en place du processus. Cynthia vit \u00e0 Belleville avec son mari, Frank.
