Les enfants ayant des probl\u00e8mes m\u00e9dicaux complexes (EMC) pr\u00e9sentent souvent de multiples conditions limitant leur esp\u00e9rance de vie, sans diagnostic unifiant et avec un pronostic incertain, et sont expos\u00e9s \u00e0 un risque \u00e9lev\u00e9 de morbidit\u00e9 et de mortalit\u00e9. Les conversations sur la planification pr\u00e9alable des soins (PPS) doivent \u00eatre sp\u00e9cifiquement adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 cette population. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Soins palliatifs<\/a><\/span>

Le programme fournit des services de consultation et des services cliniques aux enfants atteints de maladies limitant l'esp\u00e9rance de vie et dont l'\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 se d\u00e9grade progressivement. L'\u00e9quipe de soins palliatifs travaille en \u00e9troite collaboration avec d'autres services du CHEO et des partenaires communautaires, notamment l'hospice pour enfants Roger Neilson, l'hospice p\u00e9diatrique situ\u00e9 sur le site du CHEO. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Programme de qualit\u00e9 de vie et de soins avanc\u00e9s<\/a><\/span>

Le programme de Qualit\u00e9 de Vie et Soins Avanc\u00e9s (QoLA Care) de l'H\u00f4pital pour enfants McMaster s'adresse aux familles touch\u00e9es par des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 p\u00e9diatriques graves qui affectent la qualit\u00e9 de vie. Les patients peuvent \u00eatre un f\u0153tus, un nourrisson, un enfant, un adolescent ou un jeune adulte. Notre objectif est d'optimiser la qualit\u00e9 de vie de nos patients et de leurs familles, maintenant et \u00e0 l'avenir. \n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
