aNNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a required yearly meeting for non-profit organizations. It provides an important opportunity for members and the board of directors to come together and review the organization’s activities and financial statements from the past year. The AGM ensures transparency, accountability, and member involvement in the decision-making process.

Key purposes of an AGM include:

  • Presenting reports on the year’s achievements and financial position

  • Electing or re-electing members of the board of directors

  • Discussing plans, goals, and priorities for the future

  • Providing members the chance to ask questions and engage directly with leadership

ORSA Canada hosts its AGM each year between August and September. This meeting allows members to stay informed, contribute to important discussions, and play a role in shaping the direction of the association.
